...is my dream. No offense to the Sun or Sun-lovers, but I positively abhore how hot it is. Especially in the valley. :P This morning was cloudy for about an hour, and I was extremely happy to not wake up with the hot sun blinding me. (:
Well! Good morning world and all who inhabit it! :D
I have recieved some pretty disturbing news... to me at least, lol. http://news.thedoctorwhosite.co.uk/no-full-2012-doctor-who-series/ What is this?!? D:
In other news... (Spoliers are now happening if you haven't watched Season 6 of Doctor Who!) I KNEW IT. As soon as Amy named her daughter Melody, I was all... "RIVER SONG. Ohmehgod that is HER." I called it. Yes.
AAAND, I also called that it was River who shot the Doctor, which must be true now that we have established that child=Melody=River... right? That's my logic, haha.
And what the hell? Remember at the end of "Day of the Moon" when the girl regenerated in front of a hobo?? Does River have a timehead or what?! Hahaha. I must know. Now.
Moving on. Some of you who follow me on dA have asked, "Why for you no post journals? D: " Weeelll, to answer "Why for" I don't: Simply, because I post here! I mean... if I were to ever post a journal there, I'd probably just copy & paste these posts into them, haha. I am lazy that way. I could do that though. So if you want me to, just say so, lol. (:
Oh, and by the way, summer is here! :D Eh, not really, but school is out at least! :DD Summer begins officially in four days. (:
Because I am out of school, I have more time to do useless things! Yay! Hahahha. (:
Literary news:
I finished Boneshaker, finally. (: Fantastic read if you have the time! I loved it. Cherie Priest is a born steampunk author. The AU universe was stunningly creative and had all the things we teenagers want (besides romance, because who needs love anyway?): zombies, steampunk, guns, amazing characters, strong female roles, and the average stupid teen who thinks he can do anything. (: Beautiful story.
I started reading The Mortal Instruments series. I like it so far. I'm on the second book, but I haven't read it in some time. Good, all the same.
Also... I have no summer assignments for my classes next year. To be honest, I was kind of hoping to get a few. I'm such a nerd, lol. Only because I was looking forward to having something to do this summer, you know? Whatevs.
I write really long posts... So I must stop here.
Stay Golden,
Katelyn

I love Adventure Time! Hahaha. I had fun drawing with my tablet this little doodle.
These are mi amigas who sit with me at lunch 'cause they're all straight up amazing. :D Of course, in Adventure Time style!
What?! Two posts in one day? THIS is truly madness!!
Spazzin' it up,

Mind Control
What? A post from Katelyn? How is this possible?!
You haven't heard from me since Christmas! That's crazy! We must fix that.
Well, to start you off, it's been six months. Which means I can put off Turn Loose the Angels no further. Well... I could, but I should not! D: So I will attempt to finish it before the deadline for my "free proof copy" lol. (:
In other news, County Science Fair is over! It has been for like... two or three months. O.o And YEAH! I placed again! I was so very happy to hear that! Unfortunately, I was in Virginia when the ceremony was, but my science teacher picked up my stuff. I got first place in my category! Aaannd I won first place in my school's science fair as well. :) (WOT? This is MADNESS!) So that was all pretty awesome. My excruciatingly painful work has paid off. :D
Now the reason I was in Virginia that day was that I went on my eighth grade trip to Washington D.C., which was so very full of awesomeness. After spending three days there, we headed off to Philadelphia for a day, and then to New York. I think New York was probably the funnest for most of the people on the trip because it was less of a learning experience and more excitement really. However, I loved New York (being the creepy nerd I am) because of all the history. Ellis Island was super awesome, because I found a bunch of family members who passed through there. Aaaannd, I passed by a house where my great grandparents had lived in Little Italy. Was pretty coooool.
Doctor Who has started up again in America! WOOOO! Hahaha. Steven Moffat is such a genius; this is why Russel T. Davies will never be appreciated. (: I absolutely adored the way that the new season has opened up. The Silence is now added to my list of amazing Doctor Who monsters! River still annoys me, but a little bit less now that we've seen more of her. But Amy! I don't understand why she treats Rory the way she does. I love Rory, and he deserves much better. She needs to just stop flirting with the Doctor so he can be happy. D:
In other news, I've been drawing a lot. As always. I feel like I say the same thing in every post, lol. I feel like I'm sort of improving? But I also find my style leaning closer and closer to a cartoon-ish style. I don't know. Just go check out my deviantART because I have some serious mind control over y'all. >:D
Oh, and my life's dream is to get a pet llama.
School is so close to being over that it's sad! Something about Spring Break just makes kids want to give up on school. D: Especially me. And... guh! Alison and Safieh won't be here on Thursday or Friday, so I will have loneliness in Science class. D: Depressssssiioooonnn. *sigh*
I must stop procrastinating and finish my novel!! D:

EVERYTHING!
Yes, everything! I've got so much to tell y'all. :D
So fast-forwarding a bit... ziiiiiiiipp! I've recently gotten into Chameleon Circuit and I listen a lot to Charlie McDonnell (but I've been doing that forever, haha). I finally saw the 5th season of Doctor Who, and how exciting it was!
Matt Smith brings back a lot of how the old Doctor Who was in Tom Baker's heyday. A tad bit of drama but lot's of fun with wit and humor in between. Of course, Tennant had some episodes like that too. But Smith is really bringing it out with shining victory! Love it.
I watched Doctor Who at the Proms and the new Christmas Special (in which I LOVED. One of the best of the 5th season by far.). So Doctor Who, Eleventh Doctor-wise, is so far impressing me. (:
Back tracking now! Back to November. I completed my second year of NaNoWriMo! I got a winner's t-shirt (and for Christmas I actually got a NaNo sweatshirt too). :D I actually finished my 50k in Disneyland! That was pretty cool for me. Which leads me to...
Yesh, I went to Disneyland again this year! It was pretty fun, considering all of the Tron promotions going on. There was a special promotion that was called "ElecTRONica" that I especially enjoyed. It was a really cool night club-ish thing for teens that was open after the park closed. Even better, for one night only, the winners of America's Best Dance Crew performed! I got to see it front row, and got the entire show on my phone's video camera. The sound quality was crappy, but I got all the moves. :D ElecTRONica also provided a 9 minute 3D sneak peek at the movie in IMAX with special FX. This was of course before the movie came to theaters. It was pretty awesome. (:
I met a couple cool dancers while there, but not enough to get their phone numbers lol (audience *aww*). So that was that.
For Christmas, I got a nice camera, a new sketchbook, prismacolor pencils(!!), a monocle(bwahaha), a pound of chocolate bar(:D), a book about Steampunkery and one about Sock Monkeys(lol), many hats, a pretty cool jacket, a NaNoWriMo sweatshirt, and lots of muse! I drew a lot on Christmas Day.
If you want to see any of these drawings, just check out my Facebook, or my deviantART page. I'm much too lazy to post any. Oh and if you didn't know, my deviantART is: http://countingmystars.deviantart.com/
Anyhoo. Lately I've just been hanging around, fiddling with ideas for my various stories, and doodling like mad. I finished Unwind by Neil Shusterman. It was ahhmazingg! You all must read it. This book doesn't have as many readers as it should. Thank you Alison for introducing it to me!
I started reading that Vampire Academy series again last night, desparate for something to read. It's not so bad. I'm waiting to get to a book store to buy Zombies vs. Unicorns or Clockwork Angel... or maybe even Mortal Instruments, since I know so many people that liked it. I've always tended to steer away from books about people with wings, but after a couple years, I guess I'm giving in, hahaha.
I've decided that I'm going to be a Dalek for Halloween next year also. Yep, it shall be pretty awesome. Can't wait. (:
I go back to school on Wednesday (D:). Noooo! I am quite sad. But I'm already halfway through the year. Yay...? Meh.
Well, that's about it, haha. Sums up most of everything. Alas, I've forgotten the rest. :D
My first post of 2011. Ta ta.

Hair Dye & Tea
How does Alice deal with all the insanity? I can barely hold it all in my head, let alone deal with others' craziness. Yes, I drew that picture a week ago. There's little me in Alice's dress all "wth do I do now?!" n' stuff. I think it turned out "okay" eh?
I've been drawing like mad lately. I haven't had the chance to upload any but the above because I'm lazy. Loads of plunnies have been floating around lately. It's allergy season for my writing community. :D
I have successfully thought of (get ready for this, peeps. not reccommended for the queasy or the pregnant) two new story ideas, a myriad new scenes for NaNoWriMo 2011(useful, isn't it? O.o), and a change of hair color for my character, the lovable Jeff Waylin, hahaha.
Don't worry all you blonde fans. I'm sure I won't turn Jeff's hair black. It's too sudden for those faint-of-heart. He probably wouldn't even be the same goofy kid that we all know, haha.
As for the two story ideas... I'm trying to meld them into one at the moment, but we all know that it won't work, now don't we? This is how fate treats the insane ones. I'm putting money on the table that one idea will be used for script frenzy.
Well, sorry for such a short post in such a long time. I've got so much to do now that school is coming up. Oh, and before I forget.
There's me in steampunk-ness. Happy now, Sarah? :D
Off to see the wizard,

Flabby Season
Ah, yes. Summer. The season of flabby children sitting and playing video games all day.
Okay, maybe not with everybody.
I certainly do not sit all summer, but I also do not excersise like I do during the school year. Ick. I can't balance anymore (I've lost my ballerina-ness xD), I can only just barely do the spilts, and I can't even ride a bike up a steep hill. Well, actually the only person I know that can ride up that hill is Alison, my super-human, in-shape, ninja-powered friend. But still. I am so out of shape. :P
Yesterday, Hannah and Alison rode their bikes over to my house at 12:45. Anyone who knows me during the summer knows that I'm still drinking coffee and in my pajamas at 12:45. They're all in their clothes and biking backpacks and converse. I'm all still half-awake, with a giant cup of coffee, and my hair's a mess. So we talk for awhile, and then they head off to go on the bridge and wave at people on the highway.
They come back about two hours later, and I'm awake this time. I took a shower, put on make-up and clothes. So then we went over to Alison's for pizza and a short stop. After, we rode over to Hannah's house, over the hill.
Hannah and I are the average kid at our school. We don't excersise unless we absolutely have to. We're both kinda slowly making our way up, and Alison's all up ahead like "wow, this is easy!" I laugh so hard. :D
We make it her house, which of course the rest of the ride is easy. We end up spending an hour or two coloring this giant wizard poster like crazy. It's amazing looking now. x)
On the way back home however, I had to go back up the hill, lol. Nice.
So yesterday I excersised for probably the first time this season. *yay*
I also made two more pictures. I think they're okay. It took me less time now.

So this was okay I think. I had trouble drawing this one.
This I really like the colors in. C+C for these??
Off to go work today. I'll probably be back around 2:00 or 3.
Workin' hard for her money,

What Time is It?!?
I think all of you know. But in case you're reading this in the morning, and you're like me, it's SUMMER TIMMMMEEEE!!!
Only FOUR more days of school this week, and the best part is that we're not doing anything anyway! :D
Mrs. Stocks, my core teacher who I guess that you just have to come to love, has assigned an optional project for us. It's a letter to yourself that you'll get in high school eventually. I love making those.
At first I had some trouble writing the letter to myself. (I know, that's a little disturbing. The Letter-Writing Novelist, not knowing what to write to herself.) But then I really got most of my current personality into it. Lots of random babbling and polemistic statements. Here's a little snippet:
"I do also hope that I'm not as much of a
digressing nub of a dabbler in literature
as I am at the past moment. Yesterday is
history... or should it be yesterday is now?
No... the future is now? .... Surely the future
is not now, rather than the future could be now
but isn't and should be, however it will most likely
never be. This is what I mean by digression and...
nub-ition."
Don't you just love how I ramble? I know I do.
Well, I am just sooooo excited for summer, cuz it's gonna be great on the last day! Maybe when school's out I'll finally get some time to work on The Last. I only have until July 1st. O.o ...
Well, that's a piece o' work right there.
Suddenly reminded of due-dates,
TTFN,

County Science Fair & Other Stressful Components of My Life
County Science Fair
Day 1: I'm ready! I'm ready!!
Day 2: Wooooooo!
Day 10: Heh... still fun..!
Day 15: *snore* ...
Day 30: OH MEH GOD COUNTY APP..!!! *frantic typing* MOVE computer MOOOOOVE!!!!
Day 41: *twitch* So... what you're saying is... my bacteria was "snowed-in" at New York...?!?!?!?!
Day 50: Eeewww! What the **** is that growing in the agar?!?!
Day 55: O.O Inching ever so closer to the deadline...
Salutations my not-as-stressful-scholars! :D As you can see, county science fair is almost here. Forgive me for not adding a "yay" in that sentence. I've only just conducted my experiment so...
And GUESS WHAT? I have a project due in ev-er-y claaasss! Yayayayaya! *cough* ... -__- Yeeeaahhh... that was sarcastic. The only good thing about it, is that our core teacher has extended the deadline for our history proj to after County. *now THAT is a yay* See, before, she had posted it as the day BEFORE County Science Fair. Which, as you can see, I am already freaked out as it is, so that is just not the thing I wanted to hear last week. (What I really wanted to hear was, "Oh my God, Katelyn! You work soooo hard, I think I'll give you an A+ all quarter long!!" But that's just not gonna happen now, is it?) Anyways, back on track, Mrs. Stocks accentuated the deadline by making it about a week longer. *HooooooRAH!* :
My authoring life? I'm glad you asked! Recently, I was paid for a job of designing the back of a sweatshirt for a dance company. It went awesomeeee!! :D So, I made a simpled little design around a short poem:
We dance for laughter,
We dance for tears,
We dance for maddness,
We dance for fears,
We dance for hopes,
We dance for screams,
We are the dancers,
We create the dreams.
Now isn't that cute? Lol. Well, the owner loved it and I got $100, and I guess she said something about 15% commission. I'm just happy that I got it done. I have a framed version of it on my desktop all pretty-like. ^^
So that's really all that's gone on so far. Again, I shall try to post again soon, but considering my schedule.... eh.. not as likely as before. :P We'll see!
Wishing myself luck,
Katelyn

WOW! I'm busy!
God, I've been crazy busy this year, and not only because of NaNoWriMo(yay it has started ^^ Day 15!)! School has been killing me lately. My supposedly good core teacher, Mrs. Stocks, is such a weirdo!! She talks all monotone and dresses like an Amish pilgrim O.o It disturbs me greatly. She can teach well for someone so drab, but she sucks at teaching grammar(luckily I follow people well, and I know most of this stuff [plus I have photographic memory, so surely that helps as well.] ). Half the class fails every test, and it is pretttyyy sad.
On the other hand, my math teacher is just plain crazy! She belongs in the loony bin... She's pregnant so she gets mood swings all the time, and gives out detentions when she's in a bad mood. Another thing is she's OBSESSED with butterflies and smiles like a phsycotic maniac. Other than that, she's not so bad though. She's easy on the homework load, and lucky for me, she's also obsessed with purple, which I have a streak of in my hair. She adores me, but whatev...
I love my science teacher though! She's strict and not a lot of other people like her, but so far, she's my favorite! It's nice how she makes the day go by faster. All in all, I'm spazzingly busy, and that is why I've been late with my posts here.
NaNoWriMo is here though! Yeah!!! I've gotten a great start, and we are all half way through the month! I'm at 17,000 so far( a couple thousand behind, but it's all good) and I'm very happy because today I wrote 6k, and I didn't break a sweat! I'm quite proud of of myself, and I hope I can make it this month! I'll try to be more continuous with my posts!
Ta ta for now!

It's so Good, It's Horrible!
I love my schedule this year. I used to have a somewhat scary Ms. Gomez for PE, but now I have the awesomest teacher, Mr. Fucella!! It's so cool, because I love all of my teachers this year, which has almost never happened before! My science teacher is awesome, because we're doing life science instead of Bleh Earth Science. Plus, almost all of her lesson plans are fun(except disecting... EEWWW!!!). My math teacher is suuuper nice, but she's also a little bit scary, because she smiles all the time and I think she's obsessed with butterflies O.o --No comment...
My other teacher who does LangArts, SocStudies, & Reading is pretty cool too though. She's nice, and she has tons of cool history projects, and a lot of writing stuff(yay).
Only thing is, Safieh, Genesis, and Shelby don't have my lunch!!!! Or any of my classes!!!! It's quite disturbing.... and a bit depressing.... I think Mr. Tomasello is out to get me lol. I miss last year's core class! Ugh.
Hopelessly clueless,
Katelyn
